Dr. M A Shahed is a medical graduate and public health specialist with more than ten years of experience in both clinical and public health settings. He has supported a number of public health programs and research projects, including clinical trials with particular focus on maternal, newborn and child health; health system strengthening and hospital infection control in low-resource settings.

Dr. Shahed is currently serving as Project Manager of Projahnmo Research Foundation, Bangladesh (PRF). Prior to joining PRF, he worked as a Research Investigator at International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). He also had one year of training in internal medicine from Dhaka Medical College and Hospital; and few years of clinical experience in different hospitals in Bangladesh. In addition, he was awarded one of the most prestigious Commonwealth Scholarship for MPH program in 2022 and 2024. Now, he is studying MPH (Global Health) at the University of Nottingham with Commonwealth Scholarship from October 2024.
