High-Level Delegation Visits Zakiganj Upazila Health Complex, praises Projahnmo’s activities and services
Zakiganj-Sylhet, 06 July 2026 —A high-level delegation visited Zakiganj Upazila Health Complex in Sylhet on Monday (6 July) 2026 to observe the hospital’s healthcare services and other activities.
The delegation was led by the Honorable Member of Parliament for Sylhet-5, Mufti Abul Hasan, MP. Distinguished members included Professor Dr. Md. Ziaur Rahman Chowdhury, Vice Chancellor of Sylhet Medical University; Dr. Md. Mahbubul Alam, Divisional Director (Health); Dr. Md. Nasir Uddin, Civil Surgeon of Sylhet; and Professor Dr. Akhlak Ahmad, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at MAG Osmani Medical College. Representatives from political, social, and professional organizations, along with local journalists, were also present.
During the visit, the delegation toured different departments of the hospital and reviewed the overall delivery of healthcare services, patient care, and available facilities. As part of the visit, they observed healthcare services provided by Projahnmo at the Integrated Management of Childhood Illness (IMCI) Corner. The delegation also visited the ultrasonography (USG) services provided by Projahnmo`s sonologist and reviewed the ongoing BLAAAST Study including lung auscultation.
The delegation praised Projahnmo's partnership with the Government of Bangladesh in implementing public health programs, conducting research, and delivering free healthcare services to the community. Members of the delegation acknowledged that these initiatives contribute to strengthening primary healthcare services at the upazila level.
