PRF and DGHS Strengthen Collaboration to Advance Evidence-Based Health Policies in Bangladesh
Dhaka, 18 August 2026 —We are pleased to share a meaningful engagement between Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF) and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Bangladesh.
At the invitation of the Director of Primary Health Care, DGHS, PRF presented highlights of its landmark research over the years—studies that have contributed to the development and updating of national and global health guidelines—along with updates on our current and ongoing research initiatives.
The meeting brought together distinguished leaders and experts, including the Additional Director General (Planning & Development), DGHS; Director of the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC); Directors of Hospitals & Clinics, Director of Research & Development; senior obstetricians and gynaecologists, neonatologists, and paediatricians; and program managers from different departments of DGHS.
We greatly appreciated the insightful discussions and valuable input from the participants. It was particularly encouraging to hear strong recognition of Projahnmo’s contribution to generating high-quality evidence that informs health policies, guidelines, and programs in Bangladesh and beyond.
We are grateful for their confidence in PRF’s research and for their assurance of continued support and collaboration.
