A.K.M. Azizuzzaman is a Finance and Administration Manager at Projahnmo Research Foundation (PRF), Bangladesh. Prior to joining PRF, he worked with Johns Hopkins University, Bangladesh in various capacities, including Independent Contractor and Consultant for JHU, and Senior Finance and Administration Officer with Johns Hopkins University, Bangladesh since 2011.

Born in the small town of Narail in southern Bangladesh, he has more than 20 years of professional experience in finance, administration, logistics, and grant management. Since 2001, he has worked with a wide range of national and international health and research programs and organizations, including collaborations with Johns Hopkins University, USA; the University of Edinburgh, UK; the World Health Organization (WHO); Florida International University, Standford university, National Institute of Health (NIH), USA and Icddr,b

He is a fully qualified Certified Management Accountant (CMA). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a major in Finance and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from reputed universities.

His areas of technical expertise include financial management, budget preparation and budget justification, grant and subagreement management, financial reporting, administrative management and organizational compliance. He has extensive experience in preparing and monitoring project budgets, supporting subagreements and grants, financial analysis, and coordinating financial and administrative activities across complex health and research programs.

He also has substantial experience working with the NGO Affairs Bureau (NGOAB), Bangladesh, including matters related to fund approval and release, work permits for foreign nationals, approval of foreign travel, organization registration and renewal, budget revisions, and other regulatory and compliance requirements.

With a strong combination of finance and accounting expertise, public health knowledge, and extensive experience in managing donor-funded health and research programs, he has developed a broad understanding of the financial, administrative, and operational requirements of national and international development organizations.
